Hi, Everyone!
The vegetable sale was awesome! We started with a full truck-load of produce and came back practically empty-handed by the end of the day. Our great success is not based on the monetary gain, or how much products were sold, but rather on the growing interest in locally grown horticultural produce and, most importantly, our amazing club.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support. Your boundless effort and dedication really made this event a success.

I think that selling produce at an unusually low price is promotional.
ReplyDeleteSince many people do not know about all of the benefits of local growing, the surface benefit of low-cost produce is saving money to which all people can relate to.
Of course apart from the low prices, the deeply rooted benefits are a decrease of transportation, which means less pollution and less-toxicated food, as well as a decrease in underpaid, third-world labour. Actually, I was told that third-world is no longer a category due Russia's decreased economic status, and thus it is these second-world dwellers I am mentioning. Does this mean that things have gotten better in these underpriviledged nations, or is it that the world is becoming subdivided into the rich and the poor without a midle class?
Keep thinking, Daniel.
